Pilot teacher evaluations will be announced Monday

List of semifinalists to pilot state’s teacher evaluations this upcoming school year

The State Department of Education will announce Monday which districts the state’s new teacher evaluation will be piloted in.

Thirtyfive school boards and superintendents applied to launch these new evaluations in their districts.

On thursday the state department presented a list of 16 districts and regional district semifinalists to a state panel responsible for creating that model evaluation.

The department is considering that feedback, and giving second thought to those districts that didn’t make the semifinal list, and will announce the results Monday morning.
