Background: Megna was one of just 15 legislators to get a 100-percent rating by the liberal Connecticut Citizen Action Group during the 2007-2008 term, largely because of his vote against an energy bill that CCAG said was tilted against consumers.
Megna is involved in a bipartisan business venture: Statehouse Stables, the owner of a thoroughbred racehorse, Nehantic Kat. His co-owners include two former legislators, Democrat Gary Orefice of Niantic and Republican Robert Heagney of Simsbury.
