Colleen Flanagan, a former press aide to Sen. Christopher Dodd, is handling press duties for Governor-elect Dan Malloy during the transition. More recently, she’s been at the Democratic State Central Committee.

Flanagan declined to say today if she will be staying beyond the transition — the only hire officially announced by Malloy is his chief of staff, Timothy Bannon, whom we profile today.

But she has made the commitment of getting a cell phone that switches her from a 202 to an 860 area code.
