10 a.m.: The General Assembly convenes its 2011 session. Legislators and Lt. Gov. Nancy S. Wyman, who presides over the Senate, will take the oath of office.
1 p.m.: Dannel P. Malloy, Wyman and their families will march in a brief inaugural parade from the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park around the State Capitol to the State Armory.
2 p.m.: Malloy takes the oath of office as Connecticut’s 88th governor and delivers a brief inaugural address in the Armory. Admission is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at noon and guests must be seated by 1:30 p.m.
3 p.m.: The new governor and lieutenant governor are honored in Minuteman Park outside the Armory and Legislative Office Building with a 19-gun artillery salute and helicopter flyover.
3:15 p.m.: Malloy enters his second-floor corner office at the State Capitol for the first time as governor to sign his first executive orders.

3:30 p.m.: Malloy delivers his State of the State address to a joint session of the General Assembly in the Hall of the House.
7:30 p.m.: The Inaugural Ball at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. The event is sold out.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Malloy and Wyman will greet the public at an open house at the State Capitol. Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to a local food bank.
Live uninterrupted coverage of the legislature’s opening day and Malloy’s inaugural ceremony will be broadcast live on CT-N, beginning at 9 a.m.
