Rep. Kelvin Roldán, D-Hartford, sent out a press release today on his legislative email soliciting photographic evidence of the poor snow-removal performance of the administration of Mayor Pedro Segarra.

One thing Roldán didn’t mention: He is considering challenging Segarra for mayor.

“In community meeting after community meeting Hartford residents have expressed concern about hazardous road conditions in their neighborhoods resulting from poor snow removal. This situation has made it dangerous for children on their way to school and blocked fire trucks and other emergency vehicles from getting through to help those in need,” Roldán said in his press release.

Roldán said his staff will forward the pictures to Hartford City Hall and the State Department of Transportation, which is also responsible for removing snow from some roads in the city. He asks that the pictures be sent to his aide at the Capitol.
