All four Democrats in the Milford delegation bailed on Gov. Dannel P. Malloy this week, voting against the governor’s budget deal in the Senate and House. The governor is reputed to have an extraordinary memory, especially for people who disappoint him.
In the Senate, Gayle Slossberg was one of only three Democrats to vote against the governor’s plan Tuesday. In the House, where 15 Democrats took a walk, three of them represent Milford: Paul Davis, Richard Roy and Kim Rose.
We’ll see if any of them get slack from the governor — or from the Speaker Chris Donovan, for that matter. Roy is a committee co-chairman, and once upon a time it was automatic that co-chairs backed their speaker on the budget.
