Changes to special education requirements will have to wait
The State Board of Education has decided to wait until next year to overhaul special education requirements, opting to wait until they get reports on where the state goes above federal requirements and what the cost is to districts by requiring they pay for legal proceedings when a parent disagrees with the special education plan for their child.
