Mother Jones posted a piece today exploring where Barack Obama and Mitt Romney overlap on environmental protection: It’s Gina McCarthy, the former commissioner of environmental protection in Connecticut under Gov. M. Jodi Rell.

McCarthy worked for the Romney administration in Massachusetts, then came to Connecticut. She now is the top air-quality regulator in the Obama administration EPA.

Mark is the Capitol Bureau Chief and a co-founder of CT Mirror. He is a frequent contributor to WNPR, a former state politics writer for The Hartford Courant and Journal Inquirer, and contributor for The New York Times.
