Hartford — Technical consultants will give a live demonstration of how consumers might shop around for and enroll in health insurance online during the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange board’s meeting Thursday.

Deloitte Consulting will demonstrate functioning web solutions that will show “the consumer shopping and enrollment experience,” said Jason Madrak, director of marketing and communications for the Connecticut Insurance Exchange Board. The consultants are also building a similar web site for the state of Washington, Madrak said.

The board, which will meet at 9 a.m. in the Legislative Office Building, has been working to set up the health insurance exchange to comply with the Affordable Care Act. The exchange will offer individuals, families and small businesses a choice of health insurance plans.
