As part of his effort to craft a comprehensive policy to tackle gun violence, Vice President Joe Biden is meeting this morning with Rep. Elizabeth Esty, D-5th District, and 11 other members of a House Democratic task force on gun control.

Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will also attend the 11 a.m. meeting, a White House official said.

Biden’s Cabinet-level panel on gun violence, created after the Newtown massacre, may release its recommendations as early as Tuesday.
