President Obama has invited the NCAA Champion UConn Huskies to the White House next week to honor the team and their 2013 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship.

The visit will occur Wednesday and is part of a presidential tradition, continued by Obama, to honor winning sports teams.

UConn claimed NCAA title No. 8 in April with a 93-60 win against the University of  Louisville.

But it was not all bad for the Louisville Cardinals. Obama met with the men’s basketball team, who are also NCAA champs, on Tuesday.
