Really? Family court judges get a second raise in four years while the state is in a budget crisis, laying off court officials, closing courts and more importantly canceling after-school programs?
Judge Gerard Adelman, who had 27 votes against reappointment this past session, is now a trial judge referee getting a raise, retired, making hourly pay and now getting a higher pension. Why does he deserve this? What pull do our judges have over the lawyers in our legislature?
They also just appointed 14 new superior court judges this session who will be eligible for the raise and higher pensions?
