The protest of about 100 people chanted outside while mayor Luke Bronin and a few members of the city council deliberated the 2020-2021 budget inside, Wednesday, June 10, 2020. The protestors were demanding divestment from the police department and reinvesting the money in the community, according to one of the organizers, Claudine Fox, a former city council member who now works for the ACLU.
