The CT Mirror Comment Policy
We encourage readers to post comments and debate the issues confronting our state. You will be asked to register once, then log in whenever you wish to post a comment.
We prefer that you use your own name—other readers will take your comments more seriously—but screen names are acceptable. Although we require an e-mail address to confirm your registration, it’s never made public. Criticism and opposing views are welcome. Slurs, gratuitous profanity and personal attacks are not. Comments should specifically address issues raised in the story to which they are attached or in other comments. Discussion of candidates and campaigns is encouraged; however, electioneering is not appropriate.
We regularly monitor comments, and also ask readers to alert us to comments they consider inappropriate or abusive. Such comments may be deleted in our sole discretion. Readers who repeatedly violate these guidelines may be barred from commenting.
