Beach goers soak up the sun at Hammonasset Beach State Park Friday to kick off the Memorial Day weekend. At 7:30 a.m. there were 200 cars lined up waiting for the park to open and it was closed when they reached capacity at 12:15 p.m. according to a park ranger.
