Are the kids okay? Foundation provides new data

There were 102,662 children living in poverty in Connecticut at some point between 2007 and 2012 — 13 percent of the state’s children, according to data released today by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The parents of 48,000 children had no job at all in 2012. There were 46,000 children whose homes entered foreclosure during the last recession.
