A first lady who wants Connecticut to ‘reimagine justice’

First Lady Cathy Malloy interrupted an impromptu interview Wednesday at the two-day conference she and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy are co-hosting, Reimagining Justice, to say goodbye to a friend, Tracie Bernardi. The two women hugged, and Bernardi said, “I love you.” They met years ago on Malloy’s visit to prison. Malloy takes oath for second term: ‘I most assuredly do’

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s second term as Connecticut’s 88th governor began Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. as Andrew McDonald, the state Supreme Court’s first gay justice and the governor’s former legal adviser, administered the oath of office in the cavernous drill shed of the State Armory. Malloy’s New Year’s resolution is to be ‘aggressive’

It is a holiday week, and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is relaxed, at least on the Malloy scale.
