











Since The Connecticut Mirror’s founding, training the next generation of journalists through internships and fellowships has been an essential part of our mission. Former CT Mirror interns are currently employed at national publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post and POLITICO as well as numerous state and local publications in Connecticut. Reporting Internship
Spend the summer as a general assignment reporter in our newsroom, working directly with the Mirror’s reporters and editors. Our reporting interns have covered a wide array of topics related to politics and policy in Connecticut.
- 14 weeks, 20 hours per week
- Paid, also can receive college credit
- Based in CT Mirror’s Hartford newsroom
- Hybrid, but majority of work is in-person

Audience Engagement Internship
Work with the CT Mirror team over the summer to promote stories across social media and the Mirror’s newsletters. Collaborates with our audience team on the CT Mirror Explains product, video, social media, search engine optimization, and on other audience engagement projects.
- 12 weeks, 35-40 hours per week
- Paid, also can receive college credit
- Based in CT Mirror’s Hartford newsroom
- Hybrid, with at least once weekly required in-office time
Application should include at least two work samples, a cover letter and a resume. We encourage applicants to submit videos they’ve made, newsletters they’ve written, social media campaigns, or written work.
