Clare is CT Mirror's development officer, responsible for securing the financial resources to sustain and grow CT Mirror’s accountability journalism. She started her career in journalism as a reporter with Hearst Connecticut Media, where she has won multiple awards for her reporting, including being honored with the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists Theodore Driscoll Award for Investigative Reporting for her contribution to a series exploring gun deaths in the state and the Stephen Collins Award for Public Service Journalism for an investigative series she led digging into intimate partner homicides during the Coronavirus pandemic. She grew up in Connecticut and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Quinnipiac University.
