Paul Honig, of Harwinton, won a seat on the Connecticut State Senate, representing District 8, on November 5, 2024. He assumed office in January 2025.

The district includes the towns of Norfolk, Hartland, Canton, Simsbury, New Hartford, Avon, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, and portions of Granby, Harwinton, and Torrington. According to his legislative website, he spent more than 20 years “working in the fixed income finance industry.”

Honig earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985.
