Matching Gifts

Double (or triple!) your gift to CT Mirror. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. Many programs even match gifts by spouses of employees, retirees, and board members.

Ask your employer if they have a charitable matching gift program.

Honor and Memorial Gifts

You can make a tribute gift online by selecting the “Dedicate this donation” option and entering the honoree’s name. You may also add a comment with details about your gift or a message for the honoree or their family.

If giving a gift by check, please include a note indicating that you are making your donation in honor or in memory, along with the person’s name and any related information. For all tribute gifts, CT Mirror will send a letter to the honoree or their family to notify them that a gift has been received.

Give a Gift of Securities

Gifts of securities can include individual stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares. If you have held the security for more than a year and a day, you avoid capital gain tax and you are entitled to a charitable deduction. Securities can be transferred to CT Mirror by providing the following information to your broker:
