Democrat Richard Blumenthal has a double-digit lead in head-to-head matchups with any of his Republican opponents in a Rasmussen poll released today.
It’s Blumenthal over Rob Simmons, 55 percent to 32 percent; over Linda McMahon, 52 percent to 39 percent; over Peter Schiff, 54 percent to 29 percent.
Blumenthal, the long-time attorney general, has no serious competition for the Democratic endorsement later this month, while Simmons, McMahon and Schiff are competing for the GOP nomination at the Republican nominating convention.
The poll of 500 likely voters was conducted on May 4, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. It has a margin of error plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
