Senate GOP contender Linda McMahon and former WWE executive never embraced the “Mama Grizzly” label offered up by Sarah Palin in the last election. But she does seem to have taken to Palin’s mode of media communication.
With buzz circulating about her political plans now that Sen. Joseph Lieberman has announced he’ll retire in 2012 rather than seek a 5th term, McMahon choose Facebook to send a message to her political supporters.
McMahon heaped praise on Lieberman for “bringing a strong, independent and principled voice to Washington” and said she was considering another Senate bid.
“Many people have asked me what my plans are,” she wrote. “While running for the U.S. Senate in 2012 remains an option for me, I will spend the next few months focusing on how I can best serve the people of Connecticut.”
McMahon even listed what sounded very much like a campaign event. “Join me on Thursday night, 1/20, at the Shack Hometown Grill in Fairfield at 7PM to see how Republicans can make a difference.”
