When the votes were tallied up in the Senate Wednesday evening on whether to repeal the health reform law, Sen. Joe Lieberman, a Connecticut independent, was among those noted absent.
Asked about that, his spokesman, Marshall Wittmann, said he had pressing family matter to attend to.
“Senator Lieberman did not vote last night because he was welcoming the birth of his grandchild,” Wittmann. “He would have voted against repeal”
