Ex-Sen. Chris Dodd may still be job hunting, but one of his top aides, Bryan DeAngelis, has landed a plum gig with a top political PR firm.
DeAngelis served as Dodd’s communications director until the 30-year veteran’s very last day in office-and he was even fielding press calls for the senator last week, amid reports that Dodd was in talks with the Motion Picture Association of America about becoming the group’s top lobbyist.
But DeAngelis is now officially spinning for a bevy of new clients at the firm ASGK Public Strategies, a PR shop started in Chicago by David Axelrod, a top advisor to President Barack Obama. The firm boasts other politically-wired Democrats and has offices in Washington as well as in Obama’s hometown.
