Mr. Vahidy is the co-founding partner of Street Smart Ventures LLC and currently serves as an adviser to the Graustein Family Office. He was Executive Director of Public Allies Connecticut, based in Bridgeport, from 2004 until this year.

Mr. Twardy is a partner at the Day Pitney LLP law firm, resident in Stamford. He was the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut from 1985-
1991, and Chief of Staff for Governor Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. from 1991 to 1993.

“The Board is very gratified that Mr. Vahidy and Mr. Twardy will be adding their perspective and experience in helping us guide the News Project,” said Shelley Geballe, Co-President of the Board. “Our mission is to increase civic engagement among all the state’s residents so that they can more effectively participate in the development of public policy. Our new members bring to the Board a deep understanding of the information needs of different geographic areas of the state.”
