The Hartford Courant reports that the State Supreme Court will rule on whether the Republicans can have the top line of the ballot in November’s election.

The state Republican Party filed a lawsuit last week asserting that its candidates deserve the top line because their party won the most votes in the last gubernatorial election, even though their candidate, Tom Foley, lost. Gov. Dannel Malloy won the office through a combination of votes on the Democratic and Working Families party lines.
