So here’s what’s happening.
Connecticut Transit buses will start shutting down service at 4 p.m. By 6 p.m. they’ll be completely suspended until further notice. (CT Transit buses cover New Haven, Hartford, New Britain, Stamford, Waterbury, Meriden, Bristol, and Wallingford.)
Metro-North is totally changing its afternoon schedule. See details here: http://mta.info/supplemental/mnr/mnr_weather_info.html. You should really pay attention if you’re getting the train home, and read these details carefully, because they’re kinda confusing. Bottom line, though, don’t expect to be able to take a train after 7 p.m.
For drivers — just don’t drive. It’s really that simple. Massachusetts has apparently banned vehicle travel in the entire state starting at 4 p.m. That’s not happening here, most likely, but Governor Malloy has said he may close the highways and even state roads.
Stay warm.
