Gov. Dannel Malloy and the Department of Transportation moved bridge replacement and constituent communication into a new place today with the release of this time lapse video documenting recent work on Interstate 84 in Southington.
The project was undertaken using “Accelerated Bridge Construction” techniques which allow for prefabricated sections to be put in place after completion. The ABC techniques had never been used on a project this large, Malloy’s press release said.
Nor had the time lapse video been used before to show the public the progress of the work.
