Connecticut’s health insurance exchange has added a grace period for people who begin applications and select plans by midnight Monday, the deadline for people who want coverage Jan. 1.
The exchange, Access Health CT, is giving people until Friday to complete their applications, as long as they start their applications and select insurance plans by midnight Monday.
The sign-up period for private insurance under the federal health law runs through Feb. 15, but people who miss the Monday deadline won’t get coverage until Feb. 1. People who qualify for Medicaid can sign up at any point during the year.
