Tabletop gaming has been around for decades, but during the pandemic it found new life in CT when residents were relegated to their homes.

Desirae Sin is a Reporting Intern with the CT Mirror. Despite being born in Massachusetts, she’s lived in Connecticut for most of her life. As a double-major in political science and journalism at the University of Connecticut, Desirae is actively pursuing writing. She’s worked as a copy editor for the university’s student-run newspaper, The Daily Campus, and is a staff writer for their life section. She runs a weekly column titled “The Backlog” where she reviews video games and recommends them to the student body. Beyond her column, Desirae has covered various events at UConn, including Asian Nite 2024 and various fellow’s talks hosted by the Humanities Institute.
