Maia Nehme is a reporting intern for The Connecticut Mirror. Originally from Washington, D.C., she is a senior studying history at Yale University. Maia recently wrote for The Washington Post's Local desk, reporting on the disappearance of D.C.'s outdoor eating spaces and the first fatal crash caused by a U.S. Park Police chase. She previously covered crime and courts for The Charlotte Observer and LNP | LancasterOnline, the daily newspaper for Lancaster, Penn. She has also reported on public safety in Connecticut for her college paper, the Yale Daily News.
