Jason Rojas

Jason Rojas of East Hartford, a Democrat, has been the House majority leader since 2021 and a member of the House since 2009, representing District 9. As majority leader, Rojas is positioned to eventually succeed Matt Ritter as speaker of the House, becoming the first Latino to lead either chamber.

Rojas is the chief of staff to the president of Trinity College. He is a member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Public Secondary Schools.
