WASHINGTON — As House Republicans once again voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act this week, there was further evidence the controversial bill is contributing to the good health of some of the nation’s major health insurers.
Access Health CT, the state’s health insurance exchange, has added policies that exclude abortion coverage to those available from the state’s insurance marketplace. Their inclusion ended a lawsuit against Access Health brought by a couple who strongly oppose abortion.
WASHINGTON – Thousands of Connecticut residents will get rebate checks or other types of credit from their health insurance companies. They are getting those refunds because the federal government says they paid too much for coverage.
Access Health CT CEO Kevin Counihan said late Friday that in addition to Maryland, four other states have been in contact with him about the possibility of adopting the technology of Connecticut’s health exchange.
