Kent Democrat and 5th Congressional District candidate Dan Roberti announced Friday that he raised over $300,000 in the second quarter, bringing his fundraising total to more than $555,000.

He reported raising $255,900 after the first quarter in just 17 days of fundraising.

“Our fundraising efforts over the past four months have allowed us to invest in critical infrastructure that will make it possible for us to build a campaign based on grassroots outreach,” Roberti said in an e-mailed statement.

Roberti offers no experience in elected office. His father, former state Rep. Vincent Roberti, is a Democrat who once represented Bridgeport.
