Republican congressional candidate Mark Greenberg is ignoring a claim that Justin Bernier is the frontrunner in the 5th for the GOP nomination.

With a new web site, he evidently sees House Speaker Christopher Donovan, a Democrat, as the only target worth attacking.

In attacking Donovan for sitting on the bipartisan commission that is drawing new legislative and congressional maps, Greenberg says Donovan’s role has even been attacked by a fellow Democratic candidate, Mike Williams.

Greenberg doesn’t mention that Donovan’s presence on the panel has been defended by a more prominent politician: Rep. Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., the Republican minority leader and the co-chairman of the redistricting commission.

The redistricting issue will evaporate in about two weeks, when the commission needs to produce its maps. Unless, of course, the new map is drawn to somehow favor Donovan, which would require the complicity of Cafero, Senate Minority Leader John  McKinney and two other Republicans on the panel.
