The Gov. M. Jodi Rell Center for Public Service at the University of Hartford is having its first public event today day with a program about the state legislature called, “Why Students Should Care.”

The program features a talk by two lobbyists, Marshall Collins and one of the former governor’s friends, Paddi LeShane of Sullivan & LeShane.

Mark is the Capitol Bureau Chief and a co-founder of CT Mirror. He is a frequent contributor to WNPR, a former state politics writer for The Hartford Courant and Journal Inquirer, and contributor for The New York Times.
