New Directions for America, the super PAC that has spent $273,779 on behalf of Dan Roberti’s congressional campaign, notified federal elections officials today it intends to spend another $140,000 before the Aug. 14 primary.

The political action committee, which has disclosed the source of only $95,000 of its funds, has spent all its money on media buys to benefit Roberti, one of three Democrats running for the open 5th Congressional District seat.

It previously notified the Federal Election Commission of two media buys: $131,632 on July 26 and $141,147 on Aug. 1.

Because of an amended report filed by the PAC, an FEC summary page of independent expenditures incorrectly double counts the $131,632 expenditure, listing a total spending plan of $544,000. The accurate number is $413,779.
