We are proud of our new look, and we hope you find even more to like at The Connecticut Mirror.

We’re excited about the new visual possibilities the new site offers, and over the next weeks and months, we will be rolling out additional new features, too.  Keep an eye on this space and I’ll let you know as we introduce them.

A few housekeeping details: Because of security issues involved with migrating the content from our old to our new site, you will be temporarily unable to post comments on our stories and blogs. This should be resolved shortly.

Also, for reasons I don’t completely understand, the comments that readers posted at the bottom of stories published on our previous website from Thursday, May 2, to Tuesday, May 7, cannot be transferred.  If you are the author of one of these comments, and you wish to re-post the comment, please sign into the new site and replicate it.

And an alert:  We’re nearly done with anonymous comments,  and will be transferring soon to a new commenting protocol, where you will have to comment using your real names through your Facebook accounts.  An amended commenting policy is available now at the bottom of the site.

And finally — We’d love to hear what you think of the new look.  Feel free to email me at jfrank@ctmirror.org.
