AFT Solidarity gave another $250,000 this week to Connecticut Forward, the super PAC backing the re-election of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, according to a filing Wednesday with the State Elections Enforcement Commission.

The contribution increases the total funds raised by Connecticut Forward, the local affiliate of the Democratic Governors Association, to $2.9 million, including $500,000 from AFT’s national political arm, Solidarity.

The DGA and Republican Governors Association are each advertising heavily on Connecticut television, running commercials attacking the other party’s nominee.
