Obama calls to congratulate Huskies on latest championship
Washington – It happens so often President Obama should put Geno Auriemma on speed dial or his cell phone favorites list.
The White House said the president called Auriemma on Monday to congratulate the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball coach on his teams fourth consecutive NCAA championship.
In the time-honored tradition of calling the nation’s winning sports teams – and inviting them to be honored at the White House – Obama said he’s looking forward to congratulating the Huskies in person for the fourth year in a row.
