The 79-72 House majority won by Democrats on Nov. 8 has withstood recounts in three districts, the secretary of the state’s office announced Thursday.

Rep. James Albis, D-East Haven, goes into the books as the winner of the closest race – an 11 vote victory over Republican Steve Tracey in the 99th District.

Rep. Sam Belsito, R-Tolland, won by 48 votes over Democrat Susan Eastwood in the 53rd District.

In a contest for the open seat in the 103rd District, Democrat Liz Linehan of Cheshire won by 281 votes over Republican Andrew Falvey
