Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said Wednesday he is nominating Elin Swanson Katz of West Hartford to a second five-year term as the state’s consumer counsel, an office that represents consumers on a variety of issues, most prominently utility rate cases.
“Throughout her tenure in the position, Elin has been a strong advocate on behalf of Connecticut’s utility customers to serve as their voice in state government on a wide variety of complex issues,” Malloy said. “I thank her for her willingness to continue in this role for another term.”
Her nomination is subject to confirmation by the General Assembly.
