Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton’s assets include the fastest pair of thumbs in Connecticut politics.
Just follow his Twitter feed @MayorMark. He shares — overshares at times, in the opinion of some fretful friends — trenchant observations on life, pop culture and politics. He also answers constituent questions about whether hockey is allowed on a rink in a city park (no) and when Christmas trees will be picked up (now).
And when tweaked, he Tweets.
Just ask Tom Foley, the 2010 GOP nominee for governor. Foley suggested Friday to the News-Times and during a taping of Face the State to air Sunday that he might have done better with a female running mate. (You may recall his number two in 2010 was a mayor by the name of Boughton.)
Anyway, Foley’s musing prompted this Tweet from Boughton:

That prompted a bit of chat.

Gonna be fun.
