Connecticut libraries are seeing an uptick in “soft censorship” of books that receive complaints or informal challenges from patrons.

Lucy Gellman is the arts and culture editor with The Connecticut Mirror, where she focuses on telling the story of the state's diverse arts landscape. Prior to joining CT Mirror, she was the editor of the Arts Paper and co-founder of the Youth Arts Journalism Initiative at the Arts Council of Greater New Haven. Lucy has worked as a general assignment reporter for the New Haven Independent and a station manager at WNHH Community Radio, and holds degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
