I challenge us to view celebrating Independence Day not as celebrating the moment in our history, but as celebrating how far we have come as a nation in the last 250 years

The term ‘Karen’ was originally created to identify when a white woman was being racist toward a person of color.

For centuries many people avoided the uncomfortable truth of our history and the courage of Black people to break free from white supremacy and oppression.

As the former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Hate still exists and is allowed to live and thrive in our environment.
