Washington – Former Sen. Chris Dodd will nominate Rep. John Larson, D-1st District, at the Democratic First Congressional District Nominating Convention Wednesday at Goodwin College.

Larson has represented the 1st District since 1999 and has no serious challenger this year — from his party or the GOP. Dodd was a long-serving U.S. Senator who quit Congress to head the Motion Picture Association of America.

“I am honored that my dear friend and colleague Senator Chris Dodd will be providing a nomination this year,” Larson said. “I know his voice still resonates not only with the Democratic Party, but people all across our state and nation. I’m humbled that he has taken the time to present my name as standard bearer for a seat his father once held in the United States Congress.”
