CT Dems joined national Democrats in gun-control fundraising pitch

WASHINGTON — Republicans vying to unseat Connecticut Democrats say they are outraged by the attempt to raise political cash from what they characterized as exploitation of the mass shooting in Orlando earlier this month. Debicella takes in $1 million, but falls short of Himes’ fundraising

WASHINGTON– Shelton businessman Dan Debicella, a Republican, has raised more than $1 million in his efforts to oust Rep. Jim Himes, D-4th District. But Himes has outpaced his rival, having pulled in about $2.5 million in campaign funds as of Sept. 30, according to the candidates’ latest quarterly filings with the Federal Elections Commission.
