H.B. No. 5044 (Raised) An Act Concerning Immunizations (the “bill”) proposes to eliminate the religious exemption to vaccination. This proposal has become a perennial favorite, notwithstanding that it perennially fails to gain traction. I strongly encourage legislators to allow it to fail again this term.
Immunizations should be required for students to attend school in Connecticut
As educators and school administrators, we believe school immunization laws should grant exemptions to children for bona fide medical reasons. All other children should be required to be vaccinated to enroll in school in order to attain “community immunity.”
