Somers emerges winner of GOP lieutenant governor nomination
The Republican primary battle for lieutenant governor appeared to be over by mid-afternoon Wednesday when state Rep. Penny Bacchiochi of Somers conceded the narrow contest to former Groton Mayor Heather Bond Somers.
